Jim Ross is the sole partner in the firm. He trained with McLachlan & Brown, Glasgow in the 1980s before spending some time with Price Waterhouse Coopers. He then moved to Dunoon and became a partner in the firm in 1992.

 

He has 9 co-workers all trained to deal with their respective roles within the firm. These include an ex-officer of HM Revenue & Customs, qualified accountants, and former finance officers in industry. This diverse array of talent offers the experience necessary to advise our clients properly on a range of matters. Most co-workers have been with the firm for many years and we find that the continuity of service and relationships is welcomed by our clients.

  • charities and other nonprofit making organisations

SERVICES

The services we provide are generally focused on meeting the compliance needs of our client base which include :

  • preparing Financial Statements relevant to the entity

  • completing company Corporation Tax Return Forms

  • completing Self Assessment Tax Return Forms

  • maintaining digital accounting systems

  • completing and filing VAT Return Forms with HMRC

  • performing execute only payroll services

  • preparing business plans and cashflow projections

  • performing Independent Examinations for small charities

  • completing grant application forms

  • dealing with HM Revenue & Customs compliance checks

  • liaising with Companies House

FEES

We find that our fee structure is very competitive given that we are a firm of chartered accountants and our services are provided in accordance with the high professional and ethical standards expected by our professional body (ICAS). Indeed most of our new work is referred from existing clients or other professionals
